Maya Carter’s passion lies in strengthening the capabilities of leaders and teams to heighten positive potential. Her work in Leadership Development and Appreciative Inquiry has proven to be particularly effective in helping achieve group and team success.
Maya has a background uniquely suited to promoting Leadership in Engineering, with a Software Engineering degree from the University of Toronto and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from the Adler Graduate School. Following her work as a Business Consultant to Fortune 500 companies in the Greater Toronto Area, Maya moved to Silicon Valley to further pursue the application of Leadership and Organizational Development principles to the Technology sector and Engineering disciplines.
Over the past five years, Maya has co-led the Transformational Leadership and Change section of the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology, and has also conducted research addressing how Appreciative Inquiry impacts the success and cohesiveness of teams. She currently works at Samsung Research America in Organizational and Employee Development, where she continues to utilize Appreciative Inquiry and Positive Psychology to promote effective leadership and successful teams.
