This 22-session, in-person engineering leadership program is built for rising engineers and technical managers who want to develop strategic decision-making, innovation leadership, and cross-functional influence. Through weekly evening sessions led by UC Berkeley faculty and Silicon Valley industry experts, you’ll learn proven frameworks for driving innovation, leading high-impact projects, and communicating effectively with executives and stakeholders.
Each session features interactive learning, real case studies, networking dinners, and collaborative group projects, creating a structured, high-growth pathway to becoming a confident, effective engineering leader.

Application Deadline:

Individual: Dec 15, 2025
Corporate: Dec 8, 2025

Application Process:

Individual applicants please use the "Apply" link to submit applications prior to the deadline. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with follow-up interviews conducted by the SCET Program Director. Group nominations are accepted from corporations and institutions, based on agreement with the SCET Program Director. Please contact Kristina Susac at susac@berkeley.edu should you wish to explore a corporate nomination. Acceptances will be sent, via email, on a rolling basis. Once accepted, participants will receive a welcome email two weeks prior to program start

What is the admission process & criteria?

Admissions will be reviewed as we receive them. Applications will be judged based on experience and potential contributions to a diverse cohort. Applications will be approved on a first come first served basis.

For individual applicants - you will receive an email confirming that application was received. Within 2 weeks of applications, you will receive a followup call or email with next steps and acceptance status. Within 3 weeks of program you will receive welcome email.

For corporate nominations - your company will nominate a list of applicants via an internal process. Approximately 4 weeks prior to program, UC Berkeley receives list of nominations. Approximately 3 weeks prior to program you will receive a welcome email

Costs are $12,800 per person covering textbooks, cases, instructional website with presentations and videos, continental breakfast, lunch, welcome reception, daily networking reception, closing certificate ceremony/lunch, travel to Silicon Valley and San Francisco. Travel to Bay Area and lodging costs are excluded. We do not offer scholarship pricing but you are welcome to contact Dara McKenzie at dmckenzie@berkeley.edu to discuss group discounts.
